I initially bought this book because I had read another story in this series - A Play of Dux Moraud. I understand, however, that A Play of Treachery is actually the fifth in the series, but although there are some references to earlier book(s) and occurences, I found that I /5. If you're a fan of intrigue, of all things high-quality, at the Masterpiece Theater level, if you long to discover new, fascinating places and enjoy your mystery, interwoven with world-history, Gavin Scott's 'The Age of Treachery' and 'The Age of Olympus' should most certainly be on /5(59). Treachery Prequel is the first book in the Antihero Inferno series. It gives you a taste of what is to come in the series and I CAN NOT WAIT for the next book. Luca is a law student at Yale just trying to make it through her classes. The Inferno boys are well known and you don't ever want to /5. A Taste Of Treachery (Arrow) Dallas flinched as the agonized cries of the prisoner echoed off the golden walls. Painful screams erupted from the tortured man, as each of his bloody fingers were cut off, one by one.  Blood pooled underneath the prisoner’s feet, creating a puddle of deep, crimson red.

Introducing Sophie Destivelle: assassin, spy and rebel woman. I didn’t remember much of the book beyond a particularly harrowing torture scene, the escape scene which is the heart of the book A Taste of Treachery which you can try free before you read the book. Or you can plunge in and meet her early in the novel, in all her guises. Book 4 in this mesmerizing series continues the story of the time-traveling journalist Ashley, who has now spent almost 10 year The fighting is over. The whole City of Babylon turns out to greet Alexander, conquering hero and kind of the world/5. A Taste Of Treachery (Arrow) The Torture. Madness “Why are you smiling?” Dallas asked, thinking out loud. The prisoner’s smile grew. He looked at her as though she was not going to torture him to death. She had not been looked at like that and she did not understand what it meant.
